Are you starting a blog for the very first time? Then probably you may be looking for a free WordPress hosting company. When we started our first WordPress blog, we have tried so many free web hosting companies and found some bests.
These days, for testing codes, we are using a free WordPress hosting called CloudAccess.net. In this post, we are going to show you how to create a free WordPress blog using CloudAccess.net.
Use CloudAccess For?
- Learning WordPress.
When you are a complete beginner to blogging and WordPress, you don’t need to start with a premium web hosting and domain registrar. In that case, you can use CloudAccess for learning WordPress.
Once you are good, you could create a live blog on any web hosting company.
- Testing New Codes.
This is why we use CloudAccess. Here’s why.
For example, we are adding WordPress tutorials and guides for beginners. Like removing you are here text from Genesis Framework. For making sure that we are doing the right, we need to test the same code on a dummy WordPress install.
So, we can simply host a new WordPress blog on CloudAccess for free and test the code.
- Testing Plugins and Themes.
There are so many WordPress theme shops are available. After making a purchase of any theme and premium WordPress plugin, you need to consider testing it. Test the item on any free WordPress blog before using it on a live website.
It’s highly recommended!
We will not recommend using a free web hosting provider for a professional blog. You must consider using any premium web hosting company that will help you to keep your business safe.
Once you are ready, let’s learn how to start a free WordPress blog using CloudAccess.net.
Create a Free WordPress Blog Using CloudAccess.net
First of all, you need to go to CloudAccess.net.
You are new to the platform. So, you need to click on the sign-up button.
Next, you need to pick a product. From the screen, you need to select the hosting pack.
On the next screen, you can see every plan that they offer. They are offering both free and premium WordPress hosting solutions.
In our case, we are good with the free plan. So, pick it.
Then, choose a CMS. There you can see
- WordPress
- Joomla.
WordPress is the CMS that we need to work with. So, choose it.
NOTE: By Mentioning WordPress, we are not recommending the free version of WordPress also known as WordPress.com. Here, we are mentioning the self-hosted WordPress which is pretty much better than the free WordPress.
For more, you need to see our comparison between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
The free WordPress hosting will be added to your cart. Next step is, pick a domain name for your blog.
CloudAccess Domain Registration
Domain name is like the address of your website.
For example, Google’s domain name is google.com, Facebook’s is facebook.com and our’s is awpguide.com. You will get free sub-domain from them.
In the free version hosting, you won’t be able to custom domain. Simply search for a domain name.
Then you are ready to install your WordPress on the package. On the next screen, you can choose a WordPress version that you like. 5.0 is the latest version of WordPress which comes with the Gutenberg editor, a new editing experience for WordPress.
The default pre-installed dataset is good enough. You don’t need to use the BoldGrid version.
If you don’t like Gutenberg editor, you can use the Classic Editor WordPress plugin for disabling it and using the old style editor. See how to disable Gutenberg editor in WordPress 5.0.
You need to give a brief summary of why you are using their service. It’s a required field and gives something simple definition.
On the checkout page, you can see that the domain name WordPress plan is totally free. Total price to pay is nothing. Just go on.
Then you need to register on the website. You can use your personal email address or business email address for registration.
Once you got registered, they will send a verification email to the specific email address.
Go to the email address and simply verify your account. Then you will be able to log in to your dashboard.
The website that we created is successfully activated.
WordPress Admin Access
For logging in to the website, we have 2 options.
- Default login – /wp-admin/
- One-click log in – Simple!
We recommend you the one-click login. You can log in to your blog’s backend from your client area.
On a new tab, you can see your blog’s admin area.
From there, you can start managing your blog right away.
Updating WordPress
While we installed WordPress, we have chosen the 4.9 version. At this time, the latest version is 5.0.2. For securing our blog, we recommend you upgrading your WordPress installation to the latest.

I have a question.
Is it possible to make money from free WordPress blogs?
Hi Luke,
It’s possible. But due to security, uptime, and support, we always recommend you premium web hosting companies.

Now, I am looking for a theme for the website.

Sadly, it is not available to download.
Too download a premium theme, see our post about the best WordPress theme shops in 2019.

Hi.
Which font are you using here?
Is it a Google font?
Hey Ribin,
We are using Proxima Nova via Typekit.
Sadly it is not available via Google Fonts.
But, you can try any Googe Font and add it to WordPress without a plugin.
