How To Save Permalinks On WordPress?<\/h2>\n

First of all, log in to your WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\n

Under settings, you can see the permalinks settings.<\/p>\n

When installing a fresh copy of self-hosted WordPress, your permalink structure may be plain.<\/p>\n

In our blog, we are using a custom structure \/%category%\/%postname%\/<\/em>. You can go with that structure or choose the post name structure. Both will work well for blogs.<\/p>\n

Simply select the URL structure that you need. Here in my case, I wish to go with the post name structure. Update the settings then.<\/p>\n

NOTE: If you got already ranked on search engines with the current permalink structure, don’t change the permalink structure. Because, when a user from search engine find your result and come to your WordPress blog, they will see a 404 error page.<\/em><\/p>\n

Or you need to redirect the old page to the new one. If you linked your\u00a0articles together in a post (internal linking), you need to edit those links with your new URLs.<\/em><\/p>\n
