For this, you don’t need any WordPress plugin or scripts. We are completely using a hosted website called Uptime Robot. By using this website, the tool will check your website every 5 minutes. If your website is unavailable, you will get a notification on the registered email too!
So, let’s begin.
First of all, go to Uptime Robot.
You need to sign up on the website to start monitoring.
Check the registered email address. There will be an email with the confirmation link. Simply activate your account by clicking on that link. After that, you will be able to login to your account.
We haven’t added any monitors yet. Click on the add new monitor button there.
You must choose the monitor type as HTTPS. Enter a friendly name for identifying your monitor on the dashboard. Enter URL to get checked. By default, the tool will check the website every 5 minutes.
Simply create the monitor.
From that monitor dashboard, you will be able to check your website’s response time and website status. It will take some time to show the stats on the dashboard.
On the free Uptime Robot account, you will be able to add a maximum of 50 monitors. The pro plan stars at $4.50 per month. On that plan, you will get 1-minute checking interval and additional 50 monitors. Well, the free plan is good enough for every beginner.
